Conservation patrols
We enlist patrollers on and around Lake Alaotra to protect the Lac Alaotra bamboo lemurs and other endangered wildlife species from human threats, such as habitat destruction, wildlife trafficking, and poaching. So far, we have

We travel to surrounding schools to teach kids why environmental conservation maters, and how they can make a difference. So far, we have

Sustainable development
We work within the local communities of Lake Alaotra to reduce their reliance on lake natural resources and improve their livelihoods. This includes our project of teaching locals how to use the invasive lake plant, water hyacinth, to create goods that can then be sold to tourists.
